![]() Larry LaFond and I have ghost written on several films for the PIXL channel (that means lots of writing but zero credit). Well, we're finally getting a "STORY BY" credit on their new film premiering today called IT HAD TO BE YOU. The film stars Corbin Bernsen (we all remember him from L.A. LAW), the hilarious Jenifer Lewis from a ton of fun stuff, Torrey DeVitto (Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries & Army Wives), and Michael Rady (Intelligence, The Mentalist & Melrose Place). It was directed by Bradford May. Credit is nice. ![]() FROM HERE ON OUT (The Movie) premiered tonight at Cinema Diverse LGBT Film Festival in Palm Springs at the lovely Camelot Theater. Here I am with festival director Michael Carroll Green. So happy to have castmates Suzanne Whang, Anthony Marciona and David Millbern (who is also my producer) there with me. Executive producer Paul Colichman, casting director Christopher Donaldson and crew member Jerry Taylor also came out from LA. It started out as a sitcom and now it's a movie--can't complain about that one bit! Cinema Diverse is a great festival - they know how to treat filmmakers right! After our screening my pal Billy Clift's fab film HUSH UP! SWEET CHARLOTTE packed in the audience. Fun night in Palm Springs. ![]() So excited that FROM HERE ON OUT - The Movie was selected to screen on Cinema Diverse's Celebrity Cruise to Alaska AND that I was selected as one of the two filmmakers to get to come along and chat about my film (my pal HUSH UP! SWEET CHARLOTTE director/writer Billy Clift was the other). Here's some of the Cinema Diverse gang. Billy's behind me, my producers David Millbern and Paul Colichman are on my right and festival director Michael Carroll Green is on my left. ![]() We shot 6 episodes of my new game show MODD COUPLES this week with some terrific contestants, including several celebrities. Can't give too many details yet but I'm the co-creator and writer on this unique show from HERE TV. The dashing David Millbern is the host and my co-creator, the hilarious Olivia Harewood is his sidekick. It's funny and wild! Can't wait to share it. My pal Jerry Taylor (pictured here with me on the set) helped out on the crew. If you get a chance to watch JOE DIRT 2, which is now streaming on CRACKLE, look for me. I have a couple line little cameo as Mark McGrath's father, Mr. Yauch. (Okay--in my defense, Mark was playing himself as a teenager) I have a crazy little scene that involves Mark's popcorn surprise at a 1965 drive-in movie theater. (Check out a post here from February for pic of Mark and I in costume)
