It was a delight to be the guest on Marc Copage's podcast. He seriously does his homework and asks great questions. You might remember Marc from his child star days as Corey on Diahann Carroll's sitcom JULIA. You can also catch Marc playing Corey once more in an episode of TV THERAPY. My 2 part interview is on the dates March 11 & 18, 2022. To listen click on link below and then scroll down to those dates.

When COVID caused the postponement of a play at The Desert Rose Playhouse and ELECTRICITY was asked to very quickly step in and fill that shot. Matthew McLean built us an amazing set in 2 days. Robbie Wayne and all the staff at the Desert Rose did miracles to get the show lit and all the tech ready AND we added projections for the first time. The play has never been better. We soaked in the lovely feedback at post show Q&As. What a treat and a terrific way to end our nearly 4 year record-breaking run in Palm Springs (maybe, we reserve the right to change our minds) while we focus on taking the show to an Off-Broadway theater in New York City. Thank you to everyone at The Desert Rose Playhouse, Oscar's Cabaret and INNdulge. It's been an amazing ride in Palm Springs while we worked on making the play better and better. And a special THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported the show over the years. We had the BEST audiences. We are so grateful!
Terry Ray, Steve Rosenbaum, Michael Darner, Randy Donay & Mel England ![]() Steve Rosenbaum, Terry Ray, the legendary BOB MACKIE and Mel England Last night ELECTRICITY ended its long run at Oscar's on a terrific high note. We had a full house filled with "electricity." Our special guest star was fantastic Broadway, TV & film dancer Randy Donay (dancer from THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW who has pretty much worked with every classic star on the planet)--and Randy brought along Tony Award winning choreographer Larry Fuller and.... the legendary Bob Mackie! The 12 year-old little gay boy that used to live inside me was squealing that freakin' Bob Mackie came to my play! We had an amazing run at Oscar's and my thanks to the team there, our guest stars and fantastic audiences. Stay tuned for where ELECTRICITY goes next. We're not done by a long shot!!
December usually has me juggling a lot of different personalities with THE FRUITCAKE FOLLIES, but they ALL wish you a wonderful Christmas! That includes, a very subtle and understated Norma Desmond, Andy Warhol, a quite gay Joseph who can't find Mary because he left her to catch a matinee of WICKED, a tap dancing Statue of Liberty, Gladys--the 117 year old former Rockette (Eddie Cantor was handsie!).... and me! Happy New Year everyone!!
What a glorious couple days celebrating the legendary Dionne Warwick. I was honored to step into the role of co-producing a night at Oscar's celebrating the career of this legendary singer. Steven Rosenbaum and I was honored to get to invite several celebrity friends as guests. And then the next day we all got to witness a jubilant / tearful star ceremony for Ms. Warwick on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame. She was so very gracious and elegant. It was a delight being a part of it all. Some of the celebrities in attendance: Juliet Mills, Maxwell Caulfield, Ruta Lee,
Joey English, Bob Mackie, Randy Donay, Joyce Bullifant Wesley Eure, Erin Murphy, Moosie Drier, Teresa Ganzel, Billy Van Zandt, Jim J. Bullock, Barry Livingston, Jason Stuart, Ernest Harding Jr., Patrick Evans and Kevin Spirtas. Dawn Wells was an icon, she was America's sweetheart, she was funny, she was sassy, she was a proud and fierce actor. I was so very blessed that she was also my dear dear friend. It's a weird and rare thing to have someone you grew up watching on television your entire childhood become a close friend but that is what happened with Dawn and I and she enriched my life. I have so many wonderful memories. Getting to work together was a dream come true. I was devastated by her passing--Covid sucks. I'm going to miss her terribly.
Covid may have stopped gatherings in LA, but I'm thrilled to announce that it didn't stop THE FRUITCAKE FOLLIES. Our fearless leader James Gray built an incredible set in the parking lot of the wonderfully supportive Casita Del Campo restaurant and we switched from preparing for live performances to filming it in one weekend. And we kept everyone safe in the process. Big shout out to my awesome castmates, Dena Drotar, Jane Guy, Eric Seppala, Cher Ferreyra and Sandra Benton. It's another fun and zany show just like we need right now and is available for viewing until January 11th at www.cavernclubtheater.com
It's been over 30 years since I was shouting "Burn the Witch" in the camp classic ELVIRA MISTRESS OF THE DARK. I started out an extra but ended up with my Screen Actors Guild card. Cassandra Peterson and John Paragon mention me twice during the special edition commentary. Cassandra calls me her "favorite extra". It's a a title I proudly bear for her. The new DVD is by Arrow and is a fun giftie. (I'm in several scenes but that's me above in the plaid shirt and geeky glasses--I still had hair!)
